hopefully, this portion of the Mayne Line family of sites can be used to express what thoughts you have on the issues that disturb you, invigorate you, exite you, or generally feel impassioned about to add your voice. bear with us while we get the forum set up before you register and/or kick the tires. soon as we're ready i'll post an announcement in Women of Second Life

i know how difficult it is to express your true feelings, especially when you have people who are bent on destroying any and all communication that does not affirm a point of view that varies from their commercial interests. i've constructed this forum so that the detractors of free speech are singled out as interlopers and unwelcome. it doesn't take much experience with these people to know who they are. they won't show up here. if they do sneak in, the built in admin options provide me with the tools to prevent their sickness from infecting the rest of the members who i think deserve a forum where their communication is not dramatized, confused, and belittled.

should you wish to participate in any discussions just register as a member (disabled till announced). those unfamiliar with forums should be aware that your email and IP address are held on the freeforums.org servers. please provide as much accurate information in the registration process as you feel comfortable with. at this point i am the only admin/moderator that can access this information. i would highly suggest that you NOT use your Second Life name. if you want to associate your thoughts to your known persona that's up to you. i will warn you, the known demons of our world cannot be prevented from having read access (no matter how many times their IP is banned).

initially, as a registered member, i have set the permissions to allow for you to:
post new topics in this forum
reply to topics in this forum
edit your posts in this forum
delete your posts in this forum
    post attachments in this forum

as it is, with my level of understanding of the phpBB forum features provided by freeforums, the admin features allow for an extremely refined set of permissions/features tweaking. as an example, this board gives me the ability to open forums to certain selected individuals or groups while preventing other members from accessing those spaces/data or even knowing it's there. makes for good group communications should an issue need to be broken out from the general public discourse.

as your level of permissions increase, other features, like private comm, polls, attaching images, etc are opened to you. nothing's automated. i suppose it'll work out as though we are establishing a trust. you play nice, you get higher access. i will endeavour to explain any and all functions of the board should my mind be turned to these matters. i'll probably open up a forum for that purpose. the key to trust is open communication.

of course, we'll be on a learning slope as all the bells and whistles are figured out. spilling all my private/secret files onto the wild keeps me on the edge. hee hee. we'll see what we'll see.

no matter, if this turns out alright we may find topics and writers in the wild (that's you) who can start some fires. :-) i think this is where i input "May God Help Us". yeah, that's a good start.
